Abstract

There has been a change in marketing strategy, from traditional to modern. Modern marketing strategy was chosen because it has several advantages, such as wide market and cheap promotional costs. One of users modern marketing strategies is MSMEs. Modern or digital marketing has proven to be influential in showing the advantages of MSME products so they can compete with competitors. Purpose of the study is to analyze digital marketing communication activities carried out by Teras Ciapus MSME community in promoting cake and cookies products. This is qualitative research with interview and digital observations. The digital marketing communication activities carried out by Teras Ciapus MSME community were not optimal. The account used to promote the products is their personal account. They have not taken full advantage of the features available on social media it’s because they do not really understand the functions and uses of the features on it. It takes the role of a number of external parties, such as the banking, the Ministry of MSMEs, academics and practitioners who have concentration on MSME digital literacy.

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has hit the tourism sector hard, including tourist villages, where many tourist villages have been closed and do not accept tourist visits. One of these tourist villages is Giriloyo Tourism Village, where the closure of this tourist village has hit the economy of the batik craftsmen who are members of the Sido Asih Batik Community. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the role of group communication in the Sido Asih Batik Community in dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and literature review. This study shows that the role of group communication is important, because group communication can act as a medium for community coordination and consolidation. Due to the pandemic, group communication is carried out virtually via the WhatsApp (WA) group. Group communication is also used as a forum for joint problem solving and produces a number of initiatives, such as selling batik cloth online using WhatsApp (WA) to a number of cities in Indonesia, and selling other products such as herbal medicine. Another role of group communication is to strengthen each other and work together in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic through traditions such as jimpitan, as well as a medium for making certain decisions, such as the decision to reopen the Giriloyo Tourism Village.

Abstract

One of the stakeholders in the tourism sector is the Indonesian Tour Guide Association (HPI). Tour guide activities, including communication activities carried out between HPI members in introducing tourism areas. In the digital era and the new normal era, the need to use various communication media such as social media has a very high role. The research objectives are; 1) analyze the influence of social media activities at HPI in promoting the Lake Toba tourism area; 2) analyze the factors that influence the promotion of the Lake Toba tourism area. This research uses quantitative research methods with research locations in North Sumatra. Gradual sampling technique (multi-step random sampling). The sample size was determined as many as 60 HPI members from a total population of 114 HPI members. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observing HPI members' social media and discussions with HPI management. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the form of a regression test.The results of the study show that in general HPI members access Facebook, WhatsApp, Youtube and Instagram social media. Apart from social media, another medium used by HPI in promoting Lake Toba tourism is using group communication. Regression analysis shows that there is an influence of social media activity on tourism promotion in the Lake Toba area.

Abstract

Public Relation Practitioner’s role is to provide a good message to the target audience. As a musician, Nadin Amizah’s way to communicate with her audience is through her song and lyrics. Song lyrics are an important element in a song that contains a story or message for the listener. This research aims to find the meaning behind the song “Sorai” by Nadin Amizah and to further discuss mindfulness elements in the song through qualitative method and semiotic theory by Ferdinand de Saussure. This research is to be analyzed using five elements of mindfulness based on Aldina’s theory of mindfulness. The result of the analysis of Sorai by Nadin Amizah consists of a meaningful and heartfelt attitude towards accepting and letting go of a separation through mindfulness. Through mindfulness, letting go and accepting what is happening in our lives becomes easier. It proves how mindfulness is a necessary element to be applied in our day to day life in order to have a peaceful and meaningful life.

Abstract

Human resource development is the focus of the government in the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Draft. One of the concerns is stunting. Bandung Regency is one of the areas with a high prevalence of stunting. Data from the 2022 Indonesia Nutrition Status Study shows that the prevalence of stunting in the Bandung Regency area reaches 31.1 percent or 112,000 people. Sukamulya Village is one of the villages that has implemented a stunting prevention program seriously. The stunting prevalence rate can be reduced to 11 percent per year in 2021 from 14 percent in 2019. This figure is indeed quite good, but the decline in the number which is only 1 percent per year is an interesting thing to study. One of the causes of stunting is early marriage by young people. Therefore this study aims to understand the opinions and attitudes of the youth subculture of Sukamulya Village on the issue of stunting. The theory used in this research is Youth Subculture and Social Learning Theory. The research methodology uses a constructivist qualitative approach. The results showed that the opinions and attitudes of the youth subculture in Sukamulya Village were divided into three groups. Groups that have awareness of the issues of stunting and early marriage, groups that know about stunting issues but don't care about them and groups that don't know. The emergence of these three groups is due to different levels of consciousness and intellect.

Abstract

The image needs to be built and formed in various ways. This is motivated by the desire of all companies to always maintain a positive image in the eyes of the public. Because for them, image is one of the essential factors for a brand or company to survive and be recognized by the wider community. Likewise, NCT Dream builds an image of NCTzen Indonesia through the Goyang Mendung Tanpo Udan post. This study aims to determine how NCTzen's interpretation of NCT's image in the Goyang Mendung Tanpo Udan post on NCT Dream's official Instagram. Researchers used Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding theory. In this study, researchers used the audience reception analysis method. The results of this study indicate that one informant falls into the negotiation category because the post contains popularity and also follows the growing trend. Four informants fall into the opposition category because the post does not only contain popularity. This is motivated and dominated by differences in the length of time the informant has been an NCTzen.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic caused learning to be done with an online system. Although much of the current literature recognizes the ability of the Internet as a medium of learning, less is known about students' self-confidence to use the Web, especially those who take part in online learning. This research is intended to understand students' abilities when using the Internet toward online information seeking. This study considers Self-Efficacy and Information Seeking Theory of online learning to examine influences of self-efficacy on behaviour toward online information seeking. Particularly, information seeking behaviour are explored as the consequences of belief in their capabilities to organize and execute the online learning. Data were collected through a quantitative study applying online questionnaire carried out in 2022, using a representative sample (N=58). Findings showed self-efficay has a strong correlation with information seeking behaviour. Self-efficacy also has a significant influence on information seeking behaviour. If self-efficacy increase, then information seeking behaviour will increase. The findings has contributed to the evolving of the Self-Efficacy and Information Seeking Theory, particularly in online learning in developing contries like Indonesia. This study provides implications to e-learning, educators, colleges, government and website system developers of online learning sites dealing with education.

Abstract

One of the communication strategies that instills a person's positive perception to the public is to do a personal branding. The presence of TikTok has the function of being able to make a digital marketing strategy and build a brand, with TikTok being able to influence the behavior of its followers. One of them is the TikTok celebrity Melinda Rohita, also known as Meyden, who is famous because her personality is considered fun and entertaining. This research method used is descriptive qualitative by focusing on research case studies, namely knowing the form of Melinda Rohita's personal branding through her Tiktok social media account @imeyhou. Supported by eight main concepts of Peter Montoya's personal branding. The results of her research show that Melinda Rohita's personal branding fulfills the eight main concepts, namely specialization, leadership, personality, difference, visibility, unity, firmness and good name. With a distinctive and strong character in forming personal branding as a smart, fun, and entertaining teenager. Not only that, by using the TikTok application which has completed various special features with various decorations when making videos, then uploading them to the TikTok media account. So that the @imeyhou account utilizes three supporting elements provided by TikTok, namely: live TikTok, TikTok shop, and popular.

Abstract

The tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang has become a black record in domestic football matches. This tragedy claimed hundreds of lives, including women and children. This dark incident became the spotlight of various media, both media in Indonesia and foreign media. The editorial team of SEA Today News is concerned about the coverage of this tragedy, considering that football is a very popular sport in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to find out the editorial policy gatekeeping that SEA Today News did in broadcasting the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. This researcher uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used by the author is moderate participatory observation, where the writer has a balance between being an insider and an outsider, participating in some activities but not all. Besides that, structured interviews are used because the writer knows for sure what information will be obtained. In analyzing the editorial policy of SEA Today regarding the reporting of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy, the author uses the stages of the gatekeeping process by Shoemaker and Reese. The results of this study indicate that the gatekeeping process for the publication of the Kanjuruhan by the editorial staff of SEA Today begins with the selection of angles, script writing, selection of footage and sources determined by the program producers.

Abstract

The existence identification of local television as the mainstream media in cultural conservation education that did not apply systemic and scientific program evaluation is problematic which had implications for hampering the level of program progressivity, local television stations, and fulfilling the rights of local communities to obtain information with higher quality content. The purpose of this study was to design a draft evaluation for local television programs specifically for the Warta Citizen Journalism program at Television Ruai Pontianak used the CSE-UCLA evaluation model. This research used the Research and Development (RD) method. The result of the research was the production of a local television program evaluation draft consisting of a general detailed narrative of the program referring to the CSE UCLA evaluation component namely system assessment, planning, implementation, implementation, development and program certification as evaluation material that can be used by assessors given authority by the party. company, in addition to involving other information deemed relevant. This study also produced an assessment instrument in the form of an evaluation questionnaire specially designed for assessors who are representative parties in all entities related to broadcasting, starting from educators, cultural figures, indigenous peoples, viewers and non-viewers of Ruai TV, to civil society in carrying out the assessment. critical and objective.
